Why is “CPTG Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade® Quality Testing” Important?

Have you ever asked your self any of these questions?

  1. Why do we need to have our essential oils tested?
  2. Why do we need to have some kind of accountability in the essential oils world?
  3. Why does doTERRA test to the extent that they do?

Well, I’m going to look at those questions today.
  1.  Why do we need to have our essential oils tested?

We need to have them tested because there is no regulations at all over what they can put in a bottle and say it is pure. Did you know it is perfectly ok to claim that it is 100% pure on the bottle because they used a drop, Yes I said 1 drop in a bottle of who knows what. The rest of the bottle can be a chemical, a synthetic, etc. They do not have to tell us. I think this is sad. I grew up on those oils and my mother instilled to never ever put them on my skin. There is a reason they have that on the bottle. You can smell them if you want because the belief is that won’t hurt you....... REALLY? Did you know that smell is a huge factor in the amount of toxins you take in, in a day. Why do we need to inhale deeply and exhale just as deep? You can release up to 70% of your toxins through the lungs.

 2. Why do we need to have some kind of accountability?
We need accountability because some companies don’t have the same integrity. There is companies that say they are selling you Mellissa but in truth it is lemongrass with just enough Mellissa so you can’t tell. The cost difference is huge here, Mellissa is over $100 for a 5ml bottle and Lemongrass is just over $10. There is some companies that say you’re getting pure Frankincense but test tell you there is more Cypress in that bottle then there is Frankincense. Cost of Frankincense is over $90 retail and Cypress runs around $20. Do you understand why testing to the highest level is so important. I will not name names so don’t even ask.

3. Why does doTERRA test to the extent that they do? The reason doTERRA does the testing that they do is because they have set a standard that they have to keep to. They do not and will not except anything below their standard. We know this because we have been with out Roman Chamomile and Melissa. They didn’t meet doTERRA’s requirements. They could have just said it close enough, they will never know, etc.. But they didn’t. Why is this important? well I know the bottle I have will work as well as the bottle I buy in 5 years.

Why else is this important that I know what I’m getting? We use these on the little ones in our life. Enzo, is such an oil loving kid that he has never had to use a chemical as we support the dis-comfort of is teeth breaking through the gums. When his little tummy isn’t happy we have the tools to calm it. He is such a healthy little man.
Go check out this page and Video on doTERRA’s testing. They also do 3rd party so they can’t have a say in the results.

I hope this helps you as you do your research on the oils you want to use. Please reach out to me if you have any questions.
